Terms of sale.
The rules that apply to every order placed with La Vitrine Locale: prices, payment, delivery and your rights as a consumer.
Last updated: 1 July 2026.
1. Scope
These terms of sale apply to every order placed on this website, published by La Vitrine Locale SRL (VAT BE 0784.342.988, Avenue Robert Schuman 51, bus D23, 1400 Nivelles, Belgium). By placing an order, you accept these terms without reservation.
2. Products and prices
Our boxes are hand-assembled from products made by Belgian artisans. Prices are shown in euros and exclude VAT: the applicable VAT (6% or 21% depending on the product) and delivery costs are added in the cart, before payment. We reserve the right to change prices; the price that applies is the one confirmed at the time of your order.
3. Order
Your order becomes final once payment is confirmed. You will receive a confirmation email summarising your order. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order in the event of reasonable suspicion of fraud or unavailability of a product.
4. Payment
Payment is made online via our secure payment provider Mollie (Bancontact, credit card and other methods offered by Mollie). We never have access to your payment details.
5. Delivery
We currently deliver within Belgium only. The delivery time is communicated when your order is confirmed. Delivery costs (indicatively €5.90, free from €100 of order) are clearly shown in your cart before payment. If your delivery is delayed, contact us at info@lavitrinelocale.be.
6. Right of withdrawal
Our boxes contain food products that can deteriorate or expire rapidly (beers, fresh cheeses, charcuterie, pastries…). Pursuant to article VI.53, 4° of the Belgian Code of Economic Law, the standard 14-day withdrawal right for distance sales does not apply to this type of product. If there is an issue with your order (damaged, non-conforming or missing product), contact us within 48 hours of receipt at info@lavitrinelocale.be; we will work with you on a solution (replacement, refund or voucher).
7. Legal warranty
Where applicable to the type of product, you benefit from the legal warranty of conformity provided under Belgian law. Any complaint about a non-conforming product must be reported as soon as possible after receipt, and in any case before its best-before date.
8. Complaints and dispute resolution
For any complaint, please contact us first at info@lavitrinelocale.be or on +32 67 86 74 06. In the event of a disagreement, you may refer the matter free of charge to the Belgian Consumer Mediation Service, the competent body for out-of-court settlement of consumer disputes in Belgium (North Gate II, Boulevard du Roi Albert II 8, 1000 Brussels).
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by Belgian law. Any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the courts of the judicial district of our registered office, without prejudice to the mandatory provisions protecting the consumer in their place of residence.
